Background

Raised in Moscow, Anastasia completed 11 years of traditional art school alongside her general education. Her early training focused on drawing and painting, forming a strong classical foundation

Education

At NYU, Anastasia shifted her focus to sculpture, puppetry, and performance-based media. She has taken courses such as Puppets and Performing Objects, Electronics for Artists, and Choreocinema, developing a wide-ranging skill set across art forms and technologies

Work

She has worked with Krymov Lab NYC on productions like Pushkin’s Eugene Onegin and Metamorphoses, fabricating large-scale and sculptural puppets. Since 2024, she’s been an Art Studio Assistant at NYU, supporting students and managing studio operations. Her mask and puppet designs have also been featured in student films, exhibitions, and commissioned faculty projects

Goals

Anastasia aims to continue exploring the intersection of sculpture, performance, and storytelling. She is especially interested in immersive, collaborative art that combines physical craftsmanship with narrative-driven environments
