Kúma

Kúma is a large-scale wearable sculpture and forest spirit — a quiet guardian of nature’s abundance. Her stoic face with unblinking eyes, framed by cascading raffia, gives her a timeless presence. Though she does not speak, she communicates through stillness and gesture.

Inspired by myths of harvest and endless wheat fields, Kúma appears in landscapes where nature and human presence meet. She offers guidance and gifts to those who show respect for the land, embodying care, mystery, and silent strength.

This work explores how costume and character can connect us to old stories and the unseen feelings that shape our world.
